A beautiful church from the outside. Unfortunately couldn't get in there closed.

The cathedral is located on the east side of the Piazza Duomo and is dedicated to St. Agatha, the patron saint of Catania. The original church was built in the late 11th century over the Roman "Thermen des Achilles". The church was partially destroyed and rebuilt several times by earthquakes and eruptions of Mount Etna.

Two processions through the streets of the city.
On February 4th the external tour begins at the end of the dawn mass, around 7 am and ends on the morning of the 5th around 10 am.
On February 5th the internal tour begins at 6pm and ends on the morning of the 6th
