Particularly popular with the people of Rudolstadt: the Wurzelburg. My friend from Rudolstadt told me very enthusiastically about how he could climb the Wurzelburg as a child and share the best childhood memories with her. Today the Wurzelburg is unfortunately blocked by a metal fence. The reason for this: the "ravages of time" are gnawing at the remains of the city-famous beech and naturally recycling all wood components. Nevertheless, it is worth a visit and is still very popular. In the minds of the people of Rudolstadt, Wurzelburg always remains a mysterious place of tried and tested stories.

The fence is very annoying at the Wurzelburg. Of course, the monument should be protected and preserved, but the fence was a hindrance to good photos!

I discovered myself in the photo a few years ago when I was on vacation with my family in my old hometown. I only faintly remember photos being taken there. …
