The Fat Henry, a round tower from the 12th century, is the keep of Querfurt Castle and the only Romanesque tower in this castle complex. It has no windows, no chimney, and no lavatory. The Fat Henry is 27.50 meters high, with a diameter of 14 meters at the base. The wall here is 4.35 meters thick. The rampart at its top, with its loopholes, was added in the 15th century. Beneath the present keep is a building that was probably built around the year 1000.
