Vandring
The nilometer of the double temple at Kom Ombo is one of the most fascinating technical relics of ancient Egypt. Since the temple is situated on a hill directly on the east bank of the Nile, monitoring the water level played a crucial role here – both for agriculture and for tax collection.

The nilometer is located in the northwestern part of the temple complex (on the side dedicated to the god Haroeris), just outside the main temple but still within the sacred precinct.
