Cinque Terre is the name given to five neighboring communities on the Italian Riviera. These coastal villages are known for their colorful houses, cliffs, vineyards, and charming restaurants and cafés! The towns are easily accessible by train or boat.

The tower was part of a larger defensive system that included several buildings, of which only three remain today: the Aurora tower, the bell tower of the church of San Giovanni Battista and the tower near the Giant. Probably built in the 16th century by the Genoese on a previous tower to defend Monterosso from pirate raids, today it is part lounge bar and restaurant in a private house.
