Vandring
The University Square is located on the former market square of the new town, built in 1252.
Large trees provide shade, benches invite you to rest - a small oasis in the middle of the old town and the main shopping street "Kröpeliner Straße", called "Kröpi" for short.

Vandring
The former market of the new town from 1253 with the main building of the university at the front is now Rostock's central square and is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful in the city.
In summer, dozens of students with books or laptops populate the green in front of the university building.
The square also has the fountain of joie de vivre, a popular meeting place.
