A lovely tour through my extended home region, taking quiet roads to Waltrop, then along the canal to Lake Ternscher. From there, I cycled through the Bergisches Land region towards Cappenberg. I stopped for a cake break at Cappenberg Castle, and then returned to my starting point via Lünen and Horstmar

Today was the last day of our holiday on the Baltic Sea, so we just did something small to wind down. We went to Prerow to see the new pier, which, at over 700 meters, is the longest on the entire Baltic coast. Of course, we rewarded ourselves with a delicious waffle and a cup of hot white chocolate

With excellent weather, 10 degrees and bright sunshine, we went to Warnemünde today. A lovely little town on the Baltic coast with a large harbor. Here you can watch the big ferries arriving and departing. The two harbor piers offer particularly great views.

Today we went to the island of Rügen, to Sassnitz, a very beautiful town on the water. The chalk cliffs are truly impressive. The harbor is gorgeous, and the pier is, of course, a great photo opportunity.
