The Church of San Sebastiano is located in the town centre and is the seat of the Confraternita di San Galgano (Compagnia di San Galgano). According to legend, the church was built to house the relics of San Sebastiano, which were bequeathed to San Galgano by the Sienese Pope Alexander III (1100/05 - 1181). The church contains a relief from 1466 by Urbano da Cortona "San Galgano che conficca la spada nella roccia" now in the San Galgano Museum. The round window on the façade has a 15th century stained glass window "San Sebastiano tra San Rocco e San Leonardo".
