The Pader water was pumped through pipelines from the Pader source area into water storage basins in the city - so-called "Kümpe". In the 16th century Paderborn had its first public water supply, which lasted until the 10th century. In addition to the Liboriuskump am Kamp, there are still two old Kümpe in front of the town hall and the Franciscan monastery.
