Vandring

This magnificent and imposing presbytery was built in 1765 in the Louis XIV style, as indicated by the date on the far right of the building, a remnant of the wall that once enclosed a small courtyard. A later chronogram above the entrance confirms this date. This inscription has the particularity of indicating the year of construction by adding up the Roman numerals it contains.

This imposing building is a striking symbol of power and wealth. Its size and colorful plasterwork set it apart from the modest houses surrounding it.
In Louis XIV style, it bears the date "1765." A chronogram above the entrance confirms this date: this inscription has the unique feature of indicating the date of construction when the Roman numerals it contains are added together.
