Vandring
In 1969 ceramic shards and earth discolorations appeared here during earthworks. The subsequent discoveries of several house plans and numerous archaeological finds in the next few years showed that this area had been inhabited by humans for 4,000 years. In 1990, the Archaeological Center Hitzacker and thus Germany's first Bronze Age open air museum was founded.
Worthy of mention are the numerous educational offers that make the early history (also for children) very understandable.

Vandring
We love museums for pre-and early history and archaeological excavations. Here is a large inventory of finds, imitated, but still rich in information. For children there are hands-on stations and for all question games. The visit is definitely worth it!
