Prominent giant birds such as the bald eagle or the golden eagle are represented as well as several vultures. Flight demonstrations take place daily. The park was opened in 2007.
The bird of prey park is embedded in the Bürgerpark am Katharinenberg, also concerning the natural history stations. These include a deer enclosure and the nature trail.
