This church is another example of an old mosque on which a Catholic church was built outside the city walls, in this case in 1240. Originally it was a Gothic construction that eventually, from the 17th century onwards, was destroyed by restorations after fires throughout history. the current baroque physiognomy. From the outside, the rear entrance is striking, which has been designed with great pomp and which enters into a masterful dialogue with the Central Market.

The Iglesia de los Santos Juanes is located in the immediate vicinity of the Silk Exchange and the Mercado Central, so every visitor to Valencia passes by here :-) Both the exterior and the interior of the church building are worth seeing. It is currently being renovated (until ~2025).
