The brick building was built in 1409 in the late Gothic style and burned down in 1788. A wooden chapel was then built, while the former church was rebuilt in 1821 and enlarged in 1865. In 1874 it was consecrated by the Bishop of Sejny. In 1915, during the First World War, the church was completely destroyed and rebuilt between 1922 and 1926 thanks to the efforts of pastor Witold Supiński. During the Second World War, the building was again completely destroyed (Translated from Wikipedia).
