Yes, so here comes a lot together. On the one hand the monastery and on the other hand the castle with a museum, which is usually almost always open except Monday. Everything absolutely recommended. Vandring

The history of the castle begins with the founding of the Cistercian monastery "Dobrilugk" in 1165. The monastery existed for almost 400 years until it was occupied and dissolved by Elector Johann Friedrich of Saxony in 1541. In 1551, Heinrich von Gersdorf took over the monastery property and converted the abbot's house into a four-wing complex in the style of the Saxon Renaissance.
Today, the renovated rooms house an exhibition about the castle by the friends' association, among other things.

Cykling

The beginning of the construction of the castle in Renaissance style began in 1551. In its present form it was 1676. After the Second World War, it was used militarily by the Soviet Army, Kasernierter Volkspolizei, and later by the NVA. The renovation work began in 1980, the largest in 1998.
