The Gothic castle was built in the 13th century as a fortified seat and later rebuilt into a Renaissance chateau. From 1712 to 1945 the castle was owned by the Löwenstein family. Today the Museum of Czech Glass Art is located here.

Vandring
The first mention of Bezdružice dates back to 1227. The small town was located in the Chodov settlement area and was owned by the noble families of Kolowrat, Schwanberg, and Löwenstein-Wertheim-Rosenberg. Bezdružice Castle is said to have been built as a Gothic fortification in the 13th century.
