Vandring
The Rue des Récollets runs from the castle and the church towards the Anticline (and vice versa). The most important feature of this street is that it still houses an original section of the former monastery of the Franciscan Recollects (Friaries Minor) and some later parts of the complex.
The Récollets (and Récollectines) arrived in Durbuy at the instigation of the Antwerp-born military commander Antonie Schetz, Baron van Grobbendonck, who served the Spanish during the Eighty Years' War and leased the Durbuy estate and castle in 1628 for 40,000 gold marks, as you can read at komoot.com/nl-nl/highlight/7336847

The alleys radiate the charm of the Middle Ages. Although there would not have been so many shops and food and beverage outlets back then. The people had to come back...
