On top of this steep rock the statues of the Virgin (Mater Dolorosa) and St. John are placed next to a cross. From that position you have a nice view of Bomal and the surrounding area.

Vandring
Very steep hiking trail to climb to the rock of the Calvary, but once at the top you will be rewarded with a beautiful view over the ourthe, Bomal and the castle of Bomal. Not for people with a fear of heights , you are 156 meters high .

The first part into the forest to the statues (+/- 200m) is quite steep and quite tough. However, the view over Bomal on top of the mountain is well worth it. The rest of the route is also doable for the inexperienced hiker. This route is also easy to walk with dogs.
