I wasn't aware that there was a memorial for Nazi victims with Italian citizenship at the Öjendorfer Parkfriedhof!
In the post-war period, 5,849 Italian dead from all over North-West Germany and the Ruhr area were reburied in this memorial: dead from the labor camps, victims of the Neuengamme concentration camp and its satellite camps, and civilians.

5,857 Italian victims of National Socialist tyranny were buried in the Italian war cemetery in Hamburg-Öjendorf. Between 1956 and 1958 most of them were reburied here from the federal states of Bremen, Lower Saxony, North Rhine-Westphalia, Hamburg and Schleswig-Holstein by the German War Graves Commission. The graves are arranged in five groups around a high cross. They are occupied by pillow tombstones on which rank, surname and first name or the indication "unknown" or "Lav. Civ.” (civilian) are engraved.
