The building of today's archbishop's palace not only houses the archbishop's living quarters, it is also one of the most important libraries and archives of the Hungarian Catholic Church. The library includes about 60 thousand volumes.
Many parts of the palace also function as a museum, and are open to the tourists. During a guided tour you can admire the great wealth of the bishops of Veszprém, the precious furnishings and numerous rare and valuable objects that were gifts from kings and queens.
