At the same time as the outbuilding, a new, covered music pavilion was built in 1904. The area on the slope had already been filled and supported by a rubble stone wall before 1855. The music pavilion is still used for concerts today.

Music is part of social life. For this reason, today's music pavilion was built in 1904 at the same time as the farm building. The square formed by the two buildings had already been expanded by Thomas, the city planning officer. To do this, he had the Saale slope filled in and provided with a retaining wall. The wall bears an inscription made of limestone from the Sand quarry in honor of the Leipzig merchant Friedrich Brandstetter, who donated 1,000 thalers for the park in 1872 in memory of his home town of Hof and his mother who died here.

Theresienstein Park is located in the north-east of the inner city of Hof an der Saale in Bavaria. Its history dates back to 1816, making the Theresienstein one of the oldest public parks in Germany. The park is named after Queen Therese Charlotte, the wife of the Bavarian King Ludwig I. From 1861 to 1899, the Hof city councilor Johann Gottlob Thomas had a significant influence on the design.
The park was included in the Bavarian state garden show in Hof in 1994. In 2003 the Theresienstein was awarded the title of Germany's most beautiful park.
