I walked the Auer Mühlbach in the Tierpark section to Giesing. I can recommend it!
In Giesing it leads through an area which the people of Munich call "little Venice" because of the canals and bridges there.
The wall paintings at the Giesing youth club are also worth mentioning.
To this day, energy is obtained from hydropower.

The Auer Mühlbach is an old town stream that has been branched off from the Isar at the Marienklause since around 1330 - although this is only partially true. Because actually it is, at least in sections, an old arm of the Isar, which was only separated from it by the construction of a weir that forced the Isar to the west. The stream has a decent gradient and rushes past the Au settlements, almost rushing like a mountain stream, embedded in a narrow green corridor at the foot of the Isar high bank. A nice city walk.
