Vandring

The Wine Gate serves as the starting and ending point of the tour of the Alcazaba.
Structurally, it is one of the oldest buildings in the Nasrid Alhambra, with its construction attributed to the reign of Sultan Muhammad III (1302-1309), although the decoration of its two facades dates from different periods.

In particular, the western doorway, carved in sandstone, must belong to the late 13th or early 14th century, although the tombstone on the lintel of the arch mentions Sultan Mohammed V who reigned in the second half of the 14th century.
