Vandring
The Stadsschuur is a monumental building in the center of Middelburg. The building was built at the end of the 16th century and underwent a major reconstruction a hundred years ago. It subsequently fell into the hands of the Municipal Works, which used the building as a storage and workshop. In 2002, an architectural firm rented the building for ten years. The Stadsschuur is currently used as a studio by an artist who bought the building in 2015.

Vandring
The city barn was most likely built in 1585 in Dutch Renaissance style. The city shed served 'to store city building materials and tools'. The city shed was used by the Municipal Works as a storage and workshop until the end of 1998. The building was then thoroughly restored and in 2003 an architectural firm settled here and rented the building for ten years. Afterwards it was used as a studio for an artist.
The building contains a sundial from the 17th century and a bluestone from the 18th century where the flood heights in Middelburg are indicated.
