The "Egg House" from the late 1920s is a building sculpture by the Berlin architect Fritz Glantz. The former country house of the Jewish banker family Zeidler, also called "Villa Parolo" after the first names of the owners, stands on slightly rising ground with a wide view of the lake. The building was constructed using timber frame construction on the imposing base floor, which is clad in field stones. The front of the house, which opens onto the lake shore, is correspondingly striking. The country house was originally a weekend house. Today it is used as a holiday home.

The striking house from the late 1920s was popularly known as the "Egg House". When you see it, you immediately know why it got this curious name. The building appears like a sculpture. Its outer shape is reminiscent of an upright "egg". Some viewers also immediately think of a "beehive" or a "flower bud" when they first see the figure. It was built by the architect Glantz on the banks of the Scharmutzelsee in Bad Saarow. The country house stands on a gently sloping site with a wide view of the lake.

Vandring

This used to be the "Parolo" villa, made up of the abbreviations of the first names Paul, Rolf (son) and Lotte (wife) of the family of banker Paul Zeidler. He had the villa built in the early 1920s based on plans by the architect Fritz Glantz.
