The summit of Stony Ledge and the campsite of the same name can only be reached on foot.

Stony Ledge is one of a series of mountains in the Taconic Mountains. It is about 783 meters high. Sperry Road is probably the most well-known road leading to the summit. But there is another trail, the Stony Ledge Ski Trail to the west. It begins at the Roaring Brook Road car park.
