Vandring
The ruins of this church built in the 11th century by the Cluniacs are unusual. Located on a height, so that it can be seen from a long distance, the church was modified in the Middle Ages to be fortified following the request of the monks who wanted more protection.
The lord of Brancion authorized the work in 1214. It therefore ended up being remodeled into a keep in the 13th century.

An extraordinary vestige of the Middle Ages. The church of Saint-Hippolyte was one of the oldest fortified churches in Burgundy. It was classified as a "Historic Monument" of France in 1913. Its history and legend are palpable when you are inside the ruins.
