The Bitzinger family's "Ritter von Stein" inn used to be right next to the car park. After reunification, like many other inns, it was closed and sold. At the top of the village there is still a remnant of the castle, in which there is an old people's home.

As the last major remnant of the nearly 700-year-old castle stone, which was located on a small, hidden rocky outcrop in the Ölschnitztal, survived only the palace or main building, the sometimes stormy centuries and still watches over the idyllic valley. It now houses the chapel of St. Michael.
