The monument commemorates the liberation of Domažlice on May 5, 1945 and comes from the workshop of Klatovy sculptor Václav Fiala.

The granite monument created by Vaclav Fiala was inaugurated on June 14th, 2021. It consists of a table with an American helmet and a Choden hat with lettering and the names of 4 soldiers who were there when the Czech Republic was liberated. The memorial bears the liberation date 05/05/1945 and the words Thank you and stands at the entrance to the garden of the Choden Castle not far from the Chodenring stone created in 2011.
