The picturesque village of Leontica is a characteristic and secluded village, which, however, celebrates the traditional festival of its patron saint with great energy every year (June 24th or the next Sunday). If you get the chance, don't miss the traditional parade of the historic militia. It is said that this custom goes back to a vow made by a group of men from the Blenio Valley during their participation in Napoleon's Russian campaign: should they get away alive, they would set up a symbolic troop in honor of the patron saint.
