The Aachen Doll Fountain is located on Krämerstraße near the cathedral and is one of the city's most famous fountain figures. Characteristic of the Doll Fountain are its movable figures, designed like articulated puppets. Visitors can rotate the figures' arms, legs, or heads and thus play with the fountain. They depict typical roles and characters that characterize Aachen: for example, professors, craftsmen, cardinals, a horse, or a jester. Thus, the fountain humorously reflects the diversity of urban life.
