Vandring
The West Park has served many different functions over time: At the turn of the century in 1900, it served as a zoo, and during the First World War it was a convalescent home for soldiers. Later, it was enriched by a pond and a zoo. Today, the West Park is a popular meeting place for people of all ages.

Vandring
The alternation between old trees and wide meadows characterize the Westpark. On warm summer evenings, this is not the quietest corner either. A special place, however, is the small islet, which is connected to the park paths by a narrow bridge. There is also a special line of sight to the park pond.
