Vandring
Walda is probably mentioned in a document in 1071. However, grave finds from the Merovingian period date back to around 700. In 1382 a parish in Walda was first mentioned in a document. The demolished parish church in the town center dates from the 14th century. The old church had to give way to the new parish church, consecrated in 1954, due to lack of space and structural defects.

Vandring
The picturesque hall church is probably of medieval origin. Today's appearance is largely shaped by the mighty roof turret from 1633 and the interior furnishings from the same period. The building with a gable roof and a retracted, rectangular, lower choir, eight-sided roof turret with a squat Welsch hood. On the north side of the sacristy, the southern portal vestibule probably from 1633. The interior is simple but with a considerable carved altar.
