The small church of Negrentino, originally dedicated to St. Ambrose (today San Carlo), is one of the most important in Ticino. The enchanting location, the Romanesque architecture and the rich decorative paintings make it unique. In the middle of meadows, it is 850 m above sea level, free-standing on a slope that offers a view of a wide panorama. The charm of this evidence of the Ticino and Lombard Romanesque has remained intact over the years. A visit to Negrentino is also an opportunity to get closer to the Blenio Valley, also known as the “Sun Valley”.
