The large Münchhausen fountain in the pedestrian zone was made in 1994 by the sculptor Bonifatius Stirnberg from Aachen.
This fountain shows three of the most famous Münchhausen stories: the horse on the church tower, the flight of ducks and the ride on the cannonball. The special thing about this fountain system is that the moving figures can be changed by the viewer at any time.
