Michelbach is a small castle in the district and wine village of Michelbach, which was once a water castle and dates back to around 1730. Since 2006, the baroque, thoroughly renovated palace complex has housed the Alzenau Museum.
Unique exhibits, impressive productions and modern media technology make the history of Alzenau tangible and tangible: a history marked by drastic borderlines, regional autonomy and profound upheavals. In the hall upstairs numerous cultural events take place, the Rosarium in the always freely accessible castle garden pleases in the early summer with wonderful flower splendor
