    Vandring

The lighthouse is a must-see on a trip to Skagen. This is especially true when the weather is good. Then you should definitely treat yourself to the climb. From the platform you can see the entire coastline wonderfully. In many cases you can also see the ships sailing past.

The lighthouse is also a bird watching center and offers an exciting multimedia show for young and old. Access to the lighthouse is linked to admission to the exhibition - but it's worth it! At the ticket office, each person has to choose a specific species of bird.

    Vandring

The 46-meter-tall Skagen Grå Lighthouse was built in 1858 according to plans by architect N.S. Nebelong. It is the second-tallest lighthouse in Denmark after Dueodde Lighthouse on Bornholm (47 meters).
The 2-ton lens rotates on a mercury lamp, and a 400-watt sodium lamp serves as the light source. The beam, emitted every four seconds, can be seen for 20 nautical miles. The lighthouse and its buildings were converted into a migratory bird center in 2017.
