The museum gate was built around 1705 and separated the castle park from the bourgeois city. Originally, a “museum” for the Turkish loot from Margrave Ludwig Wilhelm was to be set up in this palace area. In front of the museum gate is a fountain by the sculptor Jürgen Goertz.

The museum gate was built around 1705 and separated the palace park from the bourgeois town. Originally, a "museum" was to be set up in this area of the palace for the Turkish booty of Margrave Ludwig Wilhelm. There is a fountain by the sculptor Jürgen Goertz in front of the museum gate. Originally there was probably an iron gate and a guard that kept ordinary citizens out of the park.

The Museum Gate was built around 1705 and separated the palace gardens from the town. Originally, this area of the palace was intended to house a museum for the spoils of war seized by Margrave Ludwig Wilhelm from the Turks.
The Museum Gate is located at the end of Poststraße in Rastatt and leads into the palace gardens. In front of the gate stands the artwork "Homage to Picasso," a fountain by the sculptor Jürgen Goertz. It has been located here since 1981.
