The community had originally planned to have the old Protestant church from 1561 demolished. But the monument protection authorities intervened. As a result, the church fell into increasing disrepair. After the First World War, the community ignored the monument protection requirements and demolished the church. The old gravestones, some of which bore the Stein family coat of arms, were transferred to the new church.

Vandring

In November 1910, the new Protestant church was consecrated. A neo-Romanesque building made of light, yellow sandstone was built. A 39-meter-high tower was erected in the northwest corner. The consecration took place after the farewell service in the old church. The keys to the new church were carried on a white cushion, and the pastor carried the holy vessels.

From the late Middle Ages to the 20th century, the office was an institution tasked with managing the sovereign rights of the lord of the land, the lord of the city or the monasteries. The name was also transferred to the corresponding areas themselves, and sometimes to the seat of the office. This was not only about the property rights of the rulers, but also about regional jurisdiction.
