Egloffstein Castle is a former high medieval aristocratic castle located immediately west of the town of the same name, Egloffstein, in the Upper Franconian district of Forchheim in Bavaria.

The spur castle is located in the Franconian Switzerland-Veldenstein Forest Nature Park at an altitude of 443 meters on a two-sided, east-facing rocky outcrop of the Rabenstein, about 80 meters above the town in the Trubach Valley in Franconian Switzerland.

Well-preserved castle complex, picturesquely situated on a rock. Egloffstein Castle towers over the Trubach Valley and is one of the landmarks of Egloffstein and of "Franconian Switzerland". You can visit the castle by appointment and even spend the night there.
