In terms of tourism, Bischofsgrün is the largest place in the Fichtelgebirge and is also considered to be the most beautiful.
There are over 300 kilometers of marked hiking trails. The well-known Ochsenkopf ski jump arena offers sporting events. In summer, the heated outdoor pool provides refreshment. The winter sports center has an attractive network of cross-country ski runs and winter hiking trails. The longest snow-covered piste in Northern Bavaria (2,300 meters) is available at the North cable car. The well-known snowman festival takes place every year on Shrove Monday.
