Another example of Hitler's megalomania is the Congress Hall. The hall would have accommodated 50,000 people and would have been spanned by a cantilevered roof construction at a height of 70m. The spectator stands were aligned with the center with the pulpit for the "Führer", the lighting would have been provided by natural light illumination of the partially glazed roof. The building itself is brick masonry with an outer facade made of granite blocks, the arcade with the 6m high doors and the large columned hall in the documentation center are worth seeing.

The Nuremberg Congress Hall is one of the most impressive buildings of the National Socialist era.
Adolf Hitler laid the foundation stone on September 11, 1935 as part of the "Reich Party Day of Freedom". The new congress hall was to be handed over to the Nazi Party Congress in 1943. The interior of the hall should offer enough space for 40,000 seats and 10,000 standing places.
