The Campana dell'Amicizia ("Bell of Friendship") is a symbol of peace and reconciliation between former enemies of the First World War. It was erected on the high plateau to commemorate the victims of the fighting between Italy and Austria-Hungary and to emphasize the importance of friendship and understanding across national borders.

The bell stands near the historical sites. Ringing the bell keeps the memory of the past alive, but also sets a sign for peace and shared humanity.

A very nice and historic tour. Sometimes you get pondering when you consider that World War I was raging against this impressive backdrop and people were killing each other here.
