The Sephardic Museum was created in 1964, and is located in the most important Hispano-Jewish building in Spain: the Synagogue of Samuel ha-Leví or Synagogue of Transit, located in the old Jewish quarter of Toledo and considered the most beautiful and best preserved medieval synagogue in the world. . The showpiece of the museum's collection is the venue itself: the Synagogue.

Vandring

An incredibly rich museum in a large old synagogue that was also used as a church for a while. Hence the name El Transito. Beautiful!
With audio guide in English and descriptions in German you can learn a lot about Jewish history and religion.

Considered by many the most beautiful medieval synagogue in all of Europe and, without a doubt, the best preserved, it was built between 1355 and 1357.

The exterior appearance of the Tránsito synagogue is austere, in contrast to the decorative richness of the large interior room, covered by polychrome plasterwork in red, green, black, blue and white, which shows plant shapes such as leaves or pine cones.
