Vandring

The clock tower from 1852 can be climbed for an entrance fee. However, the four small windows are so inconvenient that the ascent is only partially profitable.

Vandring

The ROLOI was built in 1851 on the remains of a tower (from the 7th century). The tower was completely destroyed in a gunpowder explosion in 1856 and was rebuilt in the same year under Fethi Pasha in memory of his father. The clock there is still the original from 1851 and is functional.

Vandring

One building that stands out from the old town is the so-called Clock Tower (Roloi). The tower, which was built in 1851, stands on the remains of another tower that was part of the Byzantine city wall in the 7th century.

For five euros you can climb the tower and not only get a historical insight, but also a great panoramic view of the old town. The five euro entrance fee also includes a drink of your choice in the associated tavern.

Children can climb the tower for free.
