This is the most remote section of the route, the 100km of Nothing. Be prepared for there to be very few options for resupply.

Leaving Edinburgh the route gets into some great gravel after about 14 km at the Pentland hills.
Thus begins a 10km gradual climb up and over West kip, before descending. Drovers roads to Peebles.
Your resupply for the day is at Peebles, 57km. We recommend stocking up here on food to take with you as

Leaving Tan Hill, we managed to get the first part of the day done quite quickly. Some short gravel climbs and some descents woke us up and gave us some lovely scenes for some quick pictures.
After this we expected a lovely calm day. Then we got hit with the Oxnop Scar climb along Cross Top Road. At up

The final leg into Manchester, section five, is through lumpy Lancashire. It's tough; a real sting in the tail after four days on the road. From the Coal Road outside of Gisburn, the sublime singletrack of selected parts of the Pennine Bridleway to the rough Rooley Moor cobbles, it can really catch you
