The hike up the Alvier is quite a scramble! That was already clear to me after looking at the numbers: almost 700 meters in altitude in just about 3 kilometers of ascent is pretty steep!

We started our hike up the Vilan very early: with the first cable car at 07:00 in the morning. The Älplibahn runs every 15 minutes, but you have to reserve your seat in advance.
