Der Grumsiner Forst gehört zu den wenigen verblieben urzeitlichen Buchenurwäldern, die noch vor wenigen hundert Jahren fast ganz Europa bedeckt haben. Wenn du hier unter dem Blätterdach der Buchen wandelst, nimmt dich der Urwald mit auf eine Reise in die Eiszeit. Rund um den gewaltigen Wald locken offene Hügellandschaften, weite Felder, Mohnblumenwiesen und zu weiten Wanderungen – und Cafés und Hofläden zu gemütlichen Pausen.

The "Yellow Beech Leaf" leads you on a 10-kilometer route to the best hidden lakes in Grumsiner Forst. During the last ice age, Scandinavian glaciers reached into what is now the Uckermark, and their movements ground rocks and shaped the sand into what are now distinctive hills and valleys. In many of
