A cross-country ski trail, "Hoher Brand," is located quite close to the hotel in Schwarzbachtal. The trail is quite challenging 😜, and the surface isn't always ideal. The trail was in better condition along the ridge. We only skied as far as the junction above the

With light snowfall, we went for a short walk along the ridge trail near Schöneck today.
Since the trails in this region are groomed by volunteers, we unfortunately didn't get to enjoy a freshly groomed track today 🙃. Oh well... we made the best of it. The fresh air was invigorating, and we really enjoyed

We started our day today with a car at the Suhler Ausspanne 🍀. A car was just pulling out of a parking space, and we were able to use it.
The roads from Oberhof towards Schmücke were completely packed; everyone wanted to take advantage of the fantastic weather for winter

A short walk with my grandchild in the stroller through the Friedrichroda spa gardens.
At two points, I realized I couldn't go any further with the stroller... so I had to backtrack.
Because of this, my route has two short sections that I just can't seem to cut out 🧐.
