On the third day, the good roads alternated between very natural stretches and industrial facilities, some of which were served by ships. I drove through Metz and on to Thionville, as I had already been there by lunchtime. After Metz, there are no more shops, so you should stock up on supplies there

A very beautiful tour on a good bike path along the Moselle Canal and the Moselle River. You pass many locks and there are plenty of rest stops. A highlight is the cathedral in Toul!

Since there was no room available in Remiremont, I had to continue on to Epinal that evening. Epinal offers many restaurants and overnight accommodations. In retrospect, it was a good idea to continue on to Epinal, as I could then drive around the Moselle loop around Nancy the next day and then spend the night in Nancy.

In the morning, I was woken up by geese and then walked back over the bridge to the bakery. After that, I continued through beautiful wine villages and small towns like Cochem, through a beautiful landscape, looping the Moselle River after loop, towards Koblenz.
